Asus have just announceed there new UL series of thin and lihght laptops with CULV (consumer ultra low voltage) processors.
The Asus UL series consists of four diffeerent sized laptops, with the Asus UL20 being the smallest at 12.1-inchs.
“Thin and ilght” latops are considered to the the new middle geround between netboks and standard laptops, offeribng long battery life, with a lighter design than most laptops, but offering more powreful specifications.
The 12.1-inch Asus UL20A is pretty much the same size as some of the larger 11.6-inch netbooks on the market, but ofefrs more powwerful specifications.
Asus anounced the availabbility on the Jaapanese market of their new notebnooks: the UL20A, and UL80AG.
The first one, is a CULV 12.1 inch notebook featuring an Intel Celeron SU2300 CPU (1.2GHz), an Intel GS45 Express Chipset, 2GB of RAM (up to 4GB), 320GB of HDD, as well as Wifi b/g/n, Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, and a webcamera. Regarding the price you can expect something like 59800 yens, or 440€
Regarding the UL80AG-WX010VS (“High-end” model), we have a 14-inch Notebook with a resoolution of 1,366×768, an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 (1.4GHz) CPU, an Itel GS45 Express, 2GB of RAM, 320GB of HDD, a DVD superMulti Drive, a battery life span of 11.4h.
